By Matt Leedham @worldofleedham31 Jan 2017Flight Centre has launched its first ever UK TV ad featuring it’s own consultants from the red and white army and it’s a winner for agents. Following on from the Australian version last year, the 30-second ad features a variety of millennial aged Flight Centre agents talking up a range of destinations in-store and on the phone. Asking the question “Where do you want to go?” The ad follows on with “For a great price and expert advice. We’re here 24/7”. It’s another good reminder to travellers everywhere of the benefits of using an agent. The ad also rather cunningly quips “I can make that change for you” in another subtle wink towards Internet bookings and their renowned lack of service when something goes wrong. And don’t we know all about that… READ: Dear Webjet, I’m not mad, i’m just disappointed To create the ad, Flight Centre put a shout out to their loyal army of over 580 Travel Consultants across their 84 UK stores to put their hand up for the acting gig. With a selection process in what KarryOn believes, was probably a little bit like the Apprentice, 12 travel consultants were hand picked and chosen to star in the ad. Im not sure if my dog is hinting to watch Top Gun or just secretly auditioned for a Flight Centre Ad! pic.twitter.com/Ogp2iqw1Tf — steve kent (@SteveKentALP) September 12, 2014 There’s a couple of scots, a few cockney geezers and geezettes and we’re sure we heard an Aussie accent in there. Overall the ad is slick, fresh and only re-enforces further the need for an agent. I like it. What do you think about the video? Share your thoughts below.
