Standing by Travel Agents and ensuring their clients are diligently cared for in times of trouble is what Cover-More strives to do year-on-year.

All their efforts in customer service, medical assistance and claims hasn’t gone unnoticed by the industry, which this year helped award the travel insurance Group ‘Best Agency Support Service’ at the NTIAs.

Michael Stein, General Manager of Global Industry Sales, said winning the award means so much to everyone in the Cover-More Group because it confirms that they’re “delivering something special that the industry respects and admires”.

What does winning this award mean to you and the business?

It means so much to all of us at Cover-More because it’s voted by Australia’s Travel Agents. We have a large team supporting Travel Agents—we have nearly 30 people now out in the field and they have the backing of amazing customer service, medical assistance and claims teams. And this award means we are delivering something special that the industry respects and admires.

 

What was it do you think that helped you win this year?

This is the third consecutive year that Cover-More Travel Insurance has won the Best Agency Support Service award. It’s an amazing feat and we are exceptionally proud of our teams, and humbled for the recognition from the industry. The industry recognises our expertise and commitment to the fundamental value of travel insurance—helping travellers when things go wrong and when they really need that support from our Australian-based team. But we continue to differentiate and innovate, and things like our unique Travel GP and mental illness cover are great examples of why Cover-More is respected and valued by our partners.

 

How do you think the year ahead is looking so far?

We are very upbeat for the year ahead. Australians are determined and tireless travellers, and Cover-More is going from strength to strength. Our partnership with Zurich opens the doors to so many opportunities and we are excited about the products we will be bringing to market this year.

 

Do you have any award winning tips you’d like to share to inspire other businesses to greatness?

A large part of our success is because we value our relationships with Australia’s travel agents. Relationships in our industry are so important and our entire team recognises the importance of having strong and robust relationships. Travel Agents are so important to our business, and we love that we can support their customers to keep travelling year after year. We also encourage our team to be extraordinary and to put teamwork, a shared vision and a natural curiosity at the heart of everything they do.
