Rocky Mountaineer wraps up big 'Sunrise' push

Australians woke every day this week as though they were on a journey of a lifetime thanks to Channel 7's live weather updates direct from Western Canada with Rocky Mountaineer.

Australians woke every day this week as though they were on a journey of a lifetime thanks to Channel 7’s live weather updates direct from Western Canada with Rocky Mountaineer.

Popular breakfast program, Sunrise, sent its weatherman, Sam Mac, on a five-day Canadian adventure on the tour operator’s Rainforest to Gold Rush route through Western Canada and the Canadian Rockies.

As part of his journey, Sam had the opportunity to test out Kochie’s jokes on some of the guests on board Rocky Mountaineer to see if Kochie really is funny… unfortunately, a few of the jokes fell flat (#sorry).

There was a bit of busking in Vancouver, during which he managed to pick up a few dollars singing a Justin Bieber track AND he met a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman in Banff.

Another major highlight for the presenter was a ride with Jericho Rescue Team in a Canada onesie, while this morning he topped off the trip with a trip to the Rockie during which he checked out the postcard-perfect mountain township of Jasper including the beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

The live broadcast not only gave viewers the chance to see the Rocky Mountaineer product, but also take advantage of a special 2017 early bird package, where trips of eight days or more receive added value of up to AU$1,000 per couple to enhance the unique Western Canada and Pacific Northwest adventure.
