Venture Holidays extends support after Garuda Orient Holidays closure

Venture Holidays has extended a helping hand to Travel Agents with clients that may be affected by Garuda Orient Holidays' closure in Australia.

Venture Holidays has extended a helping hand to Travel Agents with clients that may be affected by Garuda Orient Holidays’ closure in Australia.

In case you missed it, Garuda, the Indonesia wholesaler revealed early this week that it would shut its two Australians offices due to financial reasons caused by “tough business conditions”.

The announcement came as a surprise to the industry because only two weeks earlier the company had relaunched its trade website with real time availability, images and maps.

Although select bookings will be unaffected by the closure, Venture Holidays has offered to assist agents where clients are affected.

The wholesaler is offering for agents to rebook any Garuda Orient Holidays land bookings in Bali with Venture Holidays. Subject to hotel cancellation conditions, the booking will be held without deposit until agents or clients have been refunded by Garuda Orient Holidays and payment can be made.

“Every effort will be made to price match where possible.”

Ian Garritt, Venture Holidays Director and Bali Product Manager

“Our prime objective is to support you and ensure your clients’ Bali travel arrangements continue as planned.”

Garritt continued, saying Garuda Orient Holidays’ closure will leave a void in the Bali wholesale travel market.

“Garuda Orient Holidays has been a worthy competitor for many years,” he added.
