Calling all Travel Agents, you have around six months to emulate a lifestyle of opulence for this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) Gala Dinner.
The evening, during which consultants put away their travel boots in favour of diamante encrusted heels, ballroom gowns, Chanel clutches and Swarovski jewels, is almost upon us (22 July) and is expected to be bigger than ever before.
Why?
Because in 2017, the annual industry night of nights is being held at the International Convention Centre Ballroom, which can fit some 1,500 people!

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) CEO, Jayson Westbury said the larger venue will meet the “overwhelming ticket requests” received every year and enable more industry friends to join in the celebrations.

Westbury continued, saying attendees are in for a treat this year with sponsors and the AFTA team preparing “even more surprises”.

Qantas has once again come on board as a Major Sponsor and Platinum Partner for the event and will also host the 2017 Finalist Judging at its Mascot Headquarters.

Nominees will be announced on 13 March and voting opens on 14 March. Finalists will be revealed on 4 May followed by the judging, which commences on 29 May. It will all come to a happy ending on 22 July at the Gala Dinner.
