Contrary to popular belief, they DID have colour back in the day, as these colour-rendered images of famous landmarks from all around the world show.

Before digital cameras and the selfie epidemic, people actually had to store their travel memories in-between their ears.

Shocking, I know.

Cameras were expensive back in the day, and they could only produce black and white images.

But a new book, called The Paper Time Machine, has brought these old dreary images back to life, and we’re happy to share a handful of them with you today – it being Throwback Thursday and all that jazz.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?
