Flight Centre’s Careerwise – twice judged Australia’s Best Employer – is flying high yet again after bagging another major award.
The internal mobility framework of Flight Centre Travel Group (FLT) has just won the Australian Human Resources Industry (AHRI) Award for Talent Management, which was collected at an awards event by Peopleworks leader Carole Cooper and her team.
It’s a coveted award that recognises the contribution of FLT’s Careerwise initiative to promote from within and help individuals acheive their career goals, whatever they may be.
“I’m extremely proud of the team and its achievements. To be recognised externally is a huge honour.”
Carole Cooper, Peopleworks leader
Careerwise, the brainchild of Hayley Lloyd – who’s still in the game – was initially launched in Sydney before being rolled out nationally to help FTL employees progress within the company, both within Australian and abroad. The career counselling service has also been shown to boost employee productivity (10 per cent higher nett sales versus Flight Centre brand average) as well as staff retention.
At the same awards ceremony, the Flight Centre Foundation was also a finalist in the AHRI Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
