Didn’t make facetime last night? Well then, you missed out because the first KarryOn facetime event for 2016 was ‘off the hook’!
The most requested industry event exceeded all expectations (even ours) with over 200 attendees filling the top floor of the Bristol Arms’ Rooftop in Sydney.
A true melting pot of the industry, the evening attracted industry friends from all sectors and positions, from travel agents, to cruise lines, airlines, hotels, upper management, PR and sales.
Sandra Childs from inPlace burnt up the dance floor with evening MC and KarryOn’s very own Sally Matheson. You’ll have to check out the video of their unforgettable performance later today (there could also be a gif or two in the making).
Calamari was flying off the platters with some 45 large dishes made up of hot chips and loaves upon loaves of bread, dipping oils, cheese and olives ensuring there was no shortage of food.
Drinks were (literally) overflowing from the open bar, ensuring all attendees were relaxed (some a little more relaxed than others) and ready to mingle – we suspect there’ll be a few hangovers today.
Attendees went wild in the photo booth with wigs, glasses, fake moustaches and Fez hats. Oh and we have the photos to prove it (keep an eye out on our Facebook page – no one is safe).
Major Sponsors – The Travel Corporation‘s St Patrick’s Day leprechaun, geisha and Greek goddess brought the world to the event as did Contiki’s virtual reality headsets, which transported guests to all corners of the globe.
Mere hours into the event and well into the night, attendees praised KarryOn and facetime sponsors – Aircalin, The Travel Corporation, MasterCard Cash Passport, Travel Counsellors and Crowne Plaza Cogee Beach – on hosting “an epic event” (*blushes*).

The next KarryOn facetime event will be held in Melbourne shortly. We’re just warming up because this year we’re planning on travelling across the country, while delivering Sydney events every second month.
