What’s the next best thing after online check-in? That can speed up the airport experience and reduce those lengthy lines? Self check-in kiosks!

Fiji Airways is giving travellers through Melbourne Airport more independence and choices by introducing new self check-in kiosks at its counter in International Departures at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport.

While the carrier says it’s still focused on providing its traditional personalised guest experience through Fijian friendliness, it’s also keen to offer customers more convenience.

The introduction of these new kiosks marks another step towards product enhancement since the launch of the airline Fiji Airways, from Air Pacific in 2013.  As well as completely rebranding, the airline has since acquired four brand new A330s to grow its fleet, enhanced its onboard product including the inflight entertainment system and dining options, enabled online check-in, and launched several significant international routes including Wellington, Singapore, Vava’u and San Francisco.

To celebrate the very first passengers using the new kiosks at Melbourne Airport last night, a nice surprise of high end duty free products from its on-board selection were gifted.

Fiji Airways flies daily from Sydney and Brisbane to Nadi, and from Melbourne 5-6 times a week. Flights to Nadi take less than four hours from Australia.
