We totally had no idea that “emotional support” peacocks were a thing. But apparently they are. A word of advice though, the unconventional pet is not welcome to shake its tail feather in the sky with you.
One US woman found this out the hard way when her emotional support peacock, Dexter was denied boarding on a United Airlines Flight from Newark Liberty International Airport.

The bird’s owner, who claimed she had purchased a ticket for the peacock, was heartbroken.

United Airlines has responded to the incident, explaining in an statement that: the animal “did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size,” United Airlines said in a statement.”
