ALERT! This is not fake news nor is it a comedy piece – an English tourist has legitimately filed a complaint letter over the number of Spanish-speaking guests staying in her hotel IN SPAIN.
Get out of here! This can’t be true. IT IS!
Just let your jaw fall to the ground because the 81-year-old woman from the UK said her two-week trip to Benidorm was ruined by “too many Spaniards” in her hotel and she couldn’t understand why Spanish people don’t want to holiday elsewhere, Mirror.co.uk reported.
In the letter, the woman who struggles with mobility issues described Spaniards as “rude” and claimed one even knocked her over.
“The hotel was full of Spanish holidaymakers and they really got on our nerves because they were just so rude.”
Disappointed English Traveller
“One evening a Spanish guy nearly knocked me flying, and he just walked off without even apologising.”
She continued, complaining that in-room entertainment at the Poseidon Playa only catered to Spanish-speaking guests and wondered “why can’t the Spanish go somewhere else for their holidays?”
Although parts of the letter were quite questionable, the woman did have a legitimate complaint about the property’s accessibility, saying she’d requested a hotel with flat ground access but ended up in one on a slope.
The English pensioner requested a full refund for the experience and promised she’d “never complained about a holiday before – but this one was a disaster from start to finish”.
