A handful of lucky employees from Flight Centre Travel Group’s Healthwise Global division worked up a sweat with the up and coming Gold Coast Sun stars.
The opportunity came from Virgin Australia who offered 20 VIP spots to learn from some footy greats.
The afternoon started with all participants getting fitted out with Gold Coast Suns merchandise before checking out the players change rooms.
Everyone was itching to get onto The Gold Coast’s Metricon Stadium and they were lucky to discover that they had the entire stadium and oval to themselves.
Former Sydney Swans Premiership player Nick Malceski and a number of current Suns players took the group through a mix of training drills and had some fun competitive games ultimately finishing in a torpedo longest kicking competition for the kids, ladies and men which Nick took out (as excepted).
James Kavanagh, EGM Corporate Travel said the day was “such a fantastic opportunity to get to run around on the Gold Coast Suns’ home turf”.
“Thanks again to Virgin Australia for the opportunity .. both myself and my eight-year-old son, Tighe absolutely loved it .”
James Kavanagh, EGM Corporate Travel
The afternoon finished with a Q&A and some very tired but ecstatic fans.
