Ten lucky Travel Agents were recently given a free pass to explore Switzerland during a food-filled, cultural-packed fam-trip with Switzerland Tourism.
The 10 consultants were able to experience Switzerland’s famous alpine scenery and more thanks to Swiss Travel System of buses, trains, boats and mountain cableways using the Swiss Travel Pass.
From Zurich to the Lucerne Region, Interlaken, Jungfrau Region, the Lake Geneva Region and Basel, the group had a merry time hopping on trains, buses boats, cable cars and mountain railways, where they marvelled at the efficiency of the network and spectacular views.
Major highlights of their itinerary included ascending Mt Titlis; walking across Europe’s longest suspension bridge; enjoying the icy surrounds of the Titlis Glacier; experiencing the tranquillity of Lake Truebsee; and riding the steep cogwheel rail up to Mt Pilatus.
They were also given the chance to take a food and culture tour in Interlaken to feed some cows and taste their fresh milk and cheese; an excursion up to Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe (home to Europe’s highest mountain railway at 3,454m asl); and enjoy wine tasting at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lavaux on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Consultants came from Flight Centre, Holidays on Location, TravelManagers, Tempo Holidays, Globenet Travel, Phil Hoffmann Travel and You Travel Manly.
