Only a few months after purchasing two-thirds of Silversea Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises is ready to build on the luxury brand by adding three new ships to the cruise line’s fleet.

Royal Caribbean revealed this week that the three new vessels along with an existing order for two ships (Silver Dawn and Silver Moon) would bring Silversea Cruises’ armada up to 14 by 2022.

The first of the new ships is the 596-passenger Silver Moon, which is scheduled for delivery in August 2020 and will mirror her sister ship, Silver Muse, by offering a mix of intimacy and spaciousness.

Following Silver Moon in 2020 will be the 100-passenger expedition ship called Silver Origin that specialises in travel through the Galapagos Islands.

2021 will welcome the arrival of Silver Dawn, a $367 million vessel that’ll also incorporate Muse Class features such as the highest number of large suites, an exclusive Relais & Châteaux restaurant, and a Zàgara Beauty Spa.

Royal Caribbean Cruises’ Chief Executive Richard Fain, believes travellers will embrace the new designs and concepts coming over the four-year growth period.
