Visit USA Expo, the annual event described by some as the ‘best’ in the industry, passed through Brisbane last night with a special surprise guest for 250 Travel Advisors to meet and greet.
Yes, a special guest in addition to the ever-handsome TV personality, winner of ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’, and beloved Visit USA host, Richard Reid.
The Brisbane expo was graced by the presence of US Consul General Sharon Hudson-Dean who was “really impressed” by the “energy and enthusiasm” Travel Advisors brought to last night’s gathering.

Speaking to consultants, the US Consul General seemed particularly proud of the role they played in increasing Australian tourism numbers to the USA and driving repeat visitation rates.
“We’re thrilled that Australian travellers come for long visits to explore and experience as much as they can, frequently more than once.”

“Our doors are open and we love to host Australian visitors,” she added.
When they weren’t mixing with the special guest, consultants were chatting away with dozens of US-based suppliers, listening to detailed presentations and chanting throughout the prize rounds.
They were also munching away a the DONUT WALL! Yes, an entire wall stacked with delicious donuts.
