Perth-based Globetrotter has appointed Adrian Cooper as Head of Corporate, adding more than 25 years of corporate travel and mining sector experience as the business builds out its corporate division.
Cooper steps into the role after a career spanning both corporate travel management and the mining and resources sector, a pairing that suits the resource-heavy client base of a Western Australian travel business.
He brings experience managing complex travel programmes, building long-term client partnerships and delivering strategic business outcomes, with a relationship-driven reputation across the industries he serves.
The appointment lands as Globetrotter continues to invest in its corporate offering, a segment where reliable travel management underpins critical operations for mining and resources clients.
Why the mining background matters
Cooper’s dual grounding in travel and resources positions him to support corporate clients whose business operations hinge on seamless, dependable travel arrangements, from rosters and remote sites to fly-in fly-out movements.
“Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively in the travel industry and more recently in the mining sector, where reliable travel management is business critical,” he said.
“What attracted me to Globetrotter was its genuine commitment to people. The business has built an outstanding reputation for personalised service, long-term client partnerships and empowering its team to deliver extraordinary outcomes.
“Joining Globetrotter felt like the right fit because it shares the values that matter most to me; people, trusted relationships and putting clients first.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining such a talented team and look forward to working alongside them to better understand our clients’ businesses, deliver innovative travel programmes and create outcomes that make a real difference.”
An investment in the corporate division
Globetrotter CEO Fiona Prosser framed the appointment as a milestone for the business as it strengthens its corporate arm.
“As our Corporate division continues to grow, welcoming Adrian to the business represents an important investment in our future.
“His leadership, operational expertise and strong understanding of the industries we support will further strengthen our ability to innovate, empower our people and continue delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
“Most importantly, Adrian shares the values that define Globetrotter. He believes that great technology should enhance, not replace, the relationships and personalised service that set us apart,” Prosser said.
KARRYON UNPACKS: Corporate travel in Western Australia runs on the resources sector, and a leader who has sat on both sides of that relationship is a pointed hire for a Perth-based business. It signals where Globetrotter sees its growth, and gives its corporate clients a familiar language to work in.
