Eighty-three fully furnished eco-tents across 2.8 hectares of land zipped open last week on Rottnest Island to offer travellers an “exciting new experience”.
The world-class glamping park called ‘Discovery – Rottnest Island’ is the destination’s first new accommodation offering in over 30 years, as well as its first-ever eco-resort.
General Manager Andy Cleverley said the highly anticipated experience will cater to both Perth locals and international travellers who contributed to a sold-out opening weekend and heavily booked March and Easter.
“We aim to add an exciting new experience to the traditional Rotto family holiday, while also giving interstate and international guests a new reason to visit and stay at Rottnest Island.”
Andy Cleverley, Discovery – Rottnest Island General Manager
The 83 eco-friendly tents are divided into four service levels – Standard, Superior, Superior Family and Deluxe. Each comes with an ensuite bathroom, pillow-topped bed and furnished private decks. Many also include kitchenettes, while the Deluxe has oceanfront views and walk-in wardrobes.
Located beside Pinky Beach, the resort also has a private pool, a pool bar and Pinky’s Beach Club where guests can watch the sunset over a meal or drink.
