Famous Raffles Hotel is expanding into India + Bali + Sentosa island

Singapore’s popular Raffles brand is going around the world as new owners, AccorHotels, plan to open Raffles properties in India, Bali AND Singapore’s Sentosa Island.

In the three years since purchasing the famous brand, AccorHotels has invested heavily in Raffles by restoring the Singapore property (re-opening 1 August 2019) and taking opening properties in the Maldives (Raffles Maldives Meradhoo) and China (Raffles Shenzhen).

Now, the group is really to more than double the Raffles portfolio by opening two hotels in India (Raffles Udaipur and Raffles Jaipur), one in Bali (Raffles Bali) and the second one in Singapore (Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa Singapore).

With four hotels in development, AccorHotels said the brand will grow by at least 50 percent in Asia over the next three years, which will be supported with future projects in Europe, the US and the Middle East.

RAFFLES BALI

Located in Jimbaran Bay, Raffles Bali will comprise of 32 private villas, each with its own private pool.

The resort will sprawl over 23 hectares in the exclusive Jimbaran are and will feature the famous Writers Bar, a Raffles Wellbeing Spa celebrating local rituals and healing treatments, and a restaurant at the heart of the resort.

 

RAFFLES SENTOSA RESORT & SPA SINGAPORE

Over 135 years after the original Raffles opened its doors, the second Raffles in Singapore will be an all-villa hotel set in over 100,000 square metres of sprawling tropical gardens with views over the beautiful South China Sea.

Villas will range in size from 260 square metres for the one-bedroom villas to 450 square metres for the four-bedroom villa, all with their own private pool and terrace area.

Facilities will include a bar, restaurants, a fitness centre, a celebrations room and two meeting rooms.

 

RAFFLES UDAIPUR

Set to open in 2020, Raffles Udaipur will be the first Raffles for India.

Described as a ‘palatial hotel’, it will be on its own private island in the middle of picturesque Udai Sagar Lake.

Guests will find 101 suites, the famous Raffles Long Bar and Writers Bar, a 1,100sqm Raffles Spa, a rooftop restaurant, swimming pool and sprawling gardens.

 

RAFFLES JAIPUR

Raffles Jaipur will have only 50 suites, all with private pools. It will be strategically located as part of the popular Golden Triangle tourist route, which includes Jaipur, New Delhi and Agra.

Slated to open in 2022, it will have secluded residences and courtyards that join a larger complex that currently houses the Fairmont Jaipur.
