Start saving your money! Disney Destinations has confimed that Star Wars fans & thrill seekers will be able to board the second Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge ride before the end of the year.

In less than six months, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will join Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s most immersive land where everything (and we mean, everything) is inspired by the popular sci-fi franchise.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will initially open at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on 5 December 2019 to coincide with Walt Disney’s birthday celebrations.

Once the party has simmered in the southernmost state, the ride will open in a second location – Disneyland California – on 17 January 2020.

While Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run invites park visitors on a liberating experience during which players get to decide their fate, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is described as the “most immersive and advanced attraction” whereby guests are recruited by Rey and General Organa to fight the First Order.

The attraction will see participants captured by a First Order Star Destroyer, and forced to breakout, protect a secret base and stay one stp ahead of bad boy hottie, Kylo Ren.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened at Disneyland California on 31 May and will open in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on 29 August. It’s a totally immersive experience where all food, actors and even drinks are linked to the sci-fi movies.
