1. Qamea Resort & Spa announces resort updates
Fiji’s Luxe Jungle Resort, Qamea Resort, and Spa will remain open for 2020 and 2021.
After some deliberation from Qamea’s new owners, a decision has been made to keep the popular adults-only resort open for the next two years.
“While we’ve signed an NDA about the resort’s exciting plans post-2021 – which we will reveal in due course – we can happily confirm Qamea will be remaining open for the next two years and guests will be welcomed by the same warm, Fijian family that have adorned the island’s shores for years,”

2. Grand Hotel d’Angkor launches ‘1932’ Restaurant
Located on the ground floor of the hotel’s Heritage Wing next to the Conservatory and behind the celebrated Elephant Bar, this elegant venue is the successor to the previous Restaurant Le Grand, which had stood since the hotel’s inception.
1932 inherits the honor of being one of only two establishments in the country that is permitted to serve Royal Khmer Cuisine, the other being its sister Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh.
These recipes were passed by royal decree to the hotels from the king’s own kitchen.

3. COMO Cocoa Island reopens in the Maldives
On 9 January 2020, COMO Cocoa Island — the multi-award-winning Maldivian private island resort in South Malé Atoll, a 40-minute speedboat ride from the international airport — will reopen to guests after a substantial renovation.
This will include a renewed focus on the holistic wellness ethic that sits at the heart of the founder’s vision.

4. Next Story Group Launches Ink Hotels Brand
Next Story Group marks the addition of Ink Hotels to its brand portfolio with the opening of Ink Hotel Melbourne Southbank.
Located at 167 City Road in the heart of Melbourne’s hip waterfront hub, the recently acquired new-build hotel bears the hallmarks of the new Ink Hotels brand which is on track to open its second hotel in Singapore in 2021.

5. Accor announces the signing of Fairmont Windsor Park
Accor and Arora Group, one of the UK’s leading hotel owner-operators, has announced the signing of a prestigious luxury hotel, Fairmont Windsor Park, London.
The hotel is currently undergoing a substantial multi-million-pound redevelopment and is set to open in the second half of 2020.
The hotel will be the third Fairmont property in the UK, joining The Savoy in London and Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland.
