Alliance Airlines has announced that it will commence a day trip tour from Brisbane to Winton in Queensland’s Outback.

The tour will offer members of the public an action-packed day visiting the Australian Age of Dinosaurs and the Waltzing Matilda Centre.
The tour includes return jet flights, attraction entries, a hearty outback pub lunch, a tour of Winton township and all transfers.
Alliance Airlines CEO Lee Schofield said that “We believe by offering a very competitively priced daytrip to Winton, these world-class attractions will be accessible for the first time to visitors looking for a unique, short break to the outback”

Queensland Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said Winton day tours were an innovative way for Queenslanders to experience the Outback.
“Winton is the place to be for the ultimate prehistoric visitor experience at The Age of Dinosaurs and the perfect destination to immerse yourself in millennia of traditional culture during the extended year of Indigenous Tourism.”

Alliance isn’t the only airline shifting its focus to day trips. Last month, Qantas took off on its first mystery day trip to Orange, with two more scheduled on 18 April and 1 May 2021.

Initial tour dates are planned for Saturday 15 May, 3 July and 18 September 2021.
Alliance has said it will consider adding additional dates dependent on demand.
Dates: Saturdays May 15, July 3, September 18 2021.
