Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia is launching Cruise Month in September, embarking on a month-long celebration of the revival of cruising in Australia and New Zealand in the lead-up to the jam-packed summer cruise season.

Carnival Australia cruises back to PNG as maritime borders reopen

Ships from two Carnival Australia brands will return to Papua New Guinea as the country’s maritime borders are reopened. Coral Princess will visit Conflict Islands during a 12-night itinerary from Sydney and Pacific Encounter will call at Alotau in Milne Bay Province during a 10-night cruise from Brisbane, which also includes calls to Kiriwina Island, Rabaul and Conflict Islands.

Azamara drops vax requirements on Caribbean and European sailings from 1 December

Azamara has announced it will no longer require proof of vaccination for guests on Caribbean and European sailings from 1 December 2022 unless required by local regulations. Azamara removed its COVID-19 embarkation testing requirement on 25 July however COVID-19 testing will continue to be available to guests onboard as needed.
