Walt Disney’s motto of “dream, believe, dare, do” comes to life in Australia and New Zealand, thanks to the wave-making news that Disney Magic at Sea is hitting our shores next year! For a limited season, we finally (finally!) can experience all the magic of Disney in our own backyard.
Dream

While it has been a long-standing dream for many Australians to witness Mickey, Minnie, and the gang down under, did any of us dare that it could be on a Disney Cruise?
Disney Wonder, an iconic cruise ship on the Disney fleet, will arrive in Australia in October 2023 for a season of summertime sailings. With four home ports – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland – travellers can choose from 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-night sailings to immerse themselves in Disney’s enchanting world. Most sailings are 2- to 4-nights, offering a perfect break to swap real life for fantasy.
There’ll also be repositioning sailings between the four key homeports, and on specific sailings ports of call include Eden, Hobart, and Nouméa. To hang with the crew all the way to Nouméa, choose a longer sailing out of Sydney. That’s our pick, for sure!
Believe

Disney Wonder is chock-full of magical moments, for children, families, and fun-seeking big kids alike. Across 11 decks, guests are spoiled with restaurants, pools, recreation, shops, and more, all offering that Disney whimsical magic throughout.
Whether it’s attending Mickey’s Sail-a-Wave Party, enjoying a Royal Court High Tea, dropping the teens off at their exclusive Vibe Club, or enjoying a soothing massage at the Senses Spa and Salon, Disney Wonder caters to the whole fam.
Everything onboard is unique to Disney. From character interactions with your faves to Broadway-style shows at the Walt Disney Theatre, it’s a dream-come-true cruise for all.
Disney Magic at Sea is not entirely child-focused, btw. There are adult-exclusive spaces, including pools, spa, bars, lounges and Palo Restaurant. Add to this the fully themed kids’ clubs with some of the longest operating hours at sea, and you’ll realise ‘me time’ is a reality you can count on.
Dare

Dare to dream, because while we may have to wait a year to actually hop aboard and give Pluto a squishy hug, we can get cracking on bookings right away. Castaway Club Members have a head start on bookings from 26 September dependent on their status, followed by full access to all Guests from 29 September.
The timing of this announcement aligns with the arrival of Christmas-themed goods in stores. A coincidence? Perhaps, but we can’t think of a better experienced-based Christmas gift right now. Can you?
