Domestic bliss: SYD to launch first airport ‘department store’
Sydney Airport and retailer Heinemann have revealed plans to launch Australia’s first airport ‘department store’. Scheduled to open in July 2023, the department store concept will operate at T2 and T3 at Sydney Domestic Airport with products tailored to the terminals. The T2 store will feature designer streetwear and niche items aimed at younger and leisure travellers, while the T3 outlet will boast more luxury products, targeting business travellers and discerning shoppers.

Marriott to launch 50th hotel in Thailand by mid-2023, increases premium presence
Marriott International anticipates adding its first Autograph Collection Hotels property in Thailand with Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection expected in mid-2023. The Group continues to strengthen the presence of its existing premium brands in Thailand, including Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts and Renaissance Hotels. It expects to reach 50 hotels in the country by mid-2023, including eight new hotels due next year.
