Virtuoso has appointed three new executives: Javier Arredondo as Vice President, Sustainability; Maria Bea Sajon as General Manager, Latin America & the Caribbean; and Hanna Hinz as General Manager, Continental Europe.
The new Virtuoso roles will support the luxury network’s international growth while affirming its commitment to sustainable tourism.
Formerly General Manager, Latin America & The Caribbean, Mr Arredondo will advance the network’s mission to make sustainability a greater factor in consumer choice when planning travel.
He will collaborate with senior leadership, including Virtuoso Vice-Chair and Sustainability Strategist Jessica Hall Upchurch, and internal teams to develop and implement programs and services explicitly addressing sustainability.
Ms Sajon will now step into the role of General Manager, Latin America & The Caribbean, leveraging her extensive experience in the Latin markets to manage teams in Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, where she will be based.
Based in Berlin, Ms Hinz joins Virtuoso in the newly created role of General Manager, Continental Europe. The move signals the creation of a Continental Europe region within the network’s former EMEA division with Ms Hinz to focus on a distinct business separate from the UK, Middle East and Africa.
In addition to the existing network of regional general managers, both new executives will be responsible for driving Virtuoso’s development in their respective markets.
Each will lead local teams working with the group’s travel agency members and partners, while also elevating the brand to its target market of high-net-worth travellers.
