Vino by sea: Norwegian Cruise Line’s Meet the Winemakers lineup revealed

Norwegian Cruise Line has an impressive host of nine vintners and connoisseurs for its seventh Meet the Winemakers Cruise Series outing that pairs wine lovers and creators, setting sail on select departures from April to September 2023.

The one-of-a-kind program features renowned winemakers and culinary experts bringing their knowledge and expertise to an intimate group of guests on board NCL’s newest ships.

This year’s lineup of new faces includes Johnnie Walker Master Blender Emma Walker, who will join the 17 September 2023 sailing on Norwegian Prima for NCL’s first-ever Johnnie Walker cruise.

Certified Angus Beef Executive Chef Ashley Breneman and fourth-generation winemaker Miguel Torres of Miguel Torres Chile family winery will also make their NCL debuts on the 9 July 2023 sailing and 9 April 2023 departure respectively.

They join fan-favourite hosts celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez, fashion icon and winemaker Salvatore Ferragamo and Michael Mondavi of Michael Mondavi Family Estate among others.

The Meet the Winemaker series provides wine enthusiasts and foodies with an exclusive opportunity to engage with winemakers and other connoisseurs through various enriching seminars and activities. 

The immersive program offers intimate wine tastings, wine-paired dinners, interactive culinary demonstrations and meet-and-greets on board.

Passengers can also purchase wines on board that are only available direct from the wineries.

NCL President and CEO Harry Sommer said the Meet the Winemaker series is back and better than ever.
