New Caledonia Tourism and national carrier Aircalin have appointed experienced industry stalwart Cheree Farrell as a new Sales Executive. In the shared role, she will promote Aircalin’s direct flights from Australia to New Caledonia and tourism to the island nation.
Ms Farrell has more than 34 years’ travel industry experience with proven success in implementing and driving consumer and trade marketing campaigns.
She has worked as a travel advisor as well as in business development and management roles across cruise, tour and aviation companies such as Albatross Tours, Voyages to Antiquity and Delta Air Lines.
As part of her new role, she will work closely with retail trade partners to grow awareness of New Caledonia as a destination and improve understanding of Aircalin’s full-service offering.
The carrier currently offers direct flights from Brisbane and Sydney to Nouméa with Melbourne services to resume from 8 December 2023.
Ms Farrell will also work with travel advisors for the expansion of the New Caledonia Travel Specialist e-Learning program, which launched in 2021, within the dedicated trade website.
