World Expeditions has elevated Pam Dewar to National Sales Manager after a successful stint as Queensland Sales Manager and more than 13 years in sales within the company. She takes on the new role effective 1 July 2024.
Brisbane-based Dewar brings more than 18 years’ experience in the leisure, travel and tourism industries, including her tenure at World Expeditions where she has been instrumental in driving sales growth and fostering client relationships, and as a Branch Sales Manager at STA Travel.
Her promotion also marks a strategic move as the company focuses on rebuilding international sales and enhancing product offerings.
In her new role, Dewar will focus on driving sales growth through client satisfaction and increasing new and repeat bookings.
World Expeditions CEO Sue Badyari said Dewar’s promotion is “both a natural and positive progression for Pam, the team and the company”.
“Pam has been integral to rebuilding our international sales and with her stellar experience and some 13 years with our company, she is the ideal person to steer these initiatives and achieve the heights we are striving for,” she said.

Of the new role, Dewar expressed her excitement about the opportunity to increase sales and awareness of an organisation that reflects her values.
“I love working for an organisation that actively promotes sustainable, mindful tourism practices,” she said.
“I’ve had an amazing journey with World Expeditions to date – the culture here is unlike anything I’ve experienced. In terms of company camaraderie, support and staff wellbeing, it’s more akin to working for a family business than the multinational, multi-brand organisation World Expeditions has become.
“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to continue my career trajectory and personal growth as part of such a progressive and welcoming business.”
