With an eye for identifying internal talent, Flight Centre Travel Group has elevated Shanyll Haywood as Global Talent Operations Leader, expanding from National Talent Acquisition Leader to guide and implement recruitment operations globally.
A long-term employee of 22 years, Haywood has a wealth of recruitment experience across the Group’s retail, corporate and specialist businesses amassed across more than 18 years.
She will leverage her deep understanding of the challenges of retail recruitment and retention from hiring staff to developing and engaging FCTG employees to deliver exceptional customer travel experiences.
Based in Flight Centre Travel Group’s Brisbane headquarters, she will lead a global team across People & Culture to ensure the company flourishes in the ever-changing recruitment landscape.
Beginning her FCTG journey in 2002 as a travel consultant in Cairns and Brisbane, Haywood said her latest promotion is a testament to the company’s ‘Brightness of Future’ initiative to support staff in their career journeys.
“Since joining FCTG in 2002, it’s been quite the wild ride and now making the move into this new role is truly a testament to how alive and well Brightness of Future is,” she said.
