Lande Home, set to open in April 2025, is the latest project by Tess Willcox, Co-Director of Slojourn Studio.
The handcrafted boutique cabin in Margaret River is located on her family’s property, surrounded by national parks.
“We built Lande with a vision to create more than just a place to stay – it’s an experience that embodies slow living, sustainability, and an intimate connection with nature,” says Wilcox.
“Margaret River is a destination like no other, and this cabin is a tribute to its raw, untamed beauty.”
About Lande Home

Built entirely by hand by Tess and her family, Lande reflects Wilcox’s commitment to sustainability and meaningful connection.
Located on Wardandi Boodja (Wardandi Country), the cabin acknowledges the enduring culture of the Wardandi people, the Traditional Custodians of the land.
The mostly off-grid cabin is constructed using natural, locally sourced materials that harmonise with the surrounding bushland.
“We’re using the first three months of 2025 to make some upgrades. Think infrared sauna, ice bath, forest bath, flushing toilet, pergola,” says Wilcox.
“These additions will complement the existing inclusions, such as our onsite pup, Harli, and a gorgeous welcome pack featuring local produce (as local as the chook pen in front of the cabin).”

Lande will prioritise sustainability and thoughtful living, with inclusions that highlight local craftsmanship and attention to detail such as locally roasted coffee and eggs from the chickens on the property; organic bath products; and a custom guide to the region, curated by Tess, featuring hidden gems and sustainable businesses in Margaret River.
With a nod to her creative agency, Slojourn Studio, Lande invites guests to “take a minute to discover your slow era. No screens, no meetings, just forest, local reds and a toasty fireplace.”
Guests will be able to explore the nearby attractions of Margaret River including its renowned wineries, beaches, and scenic walking trails including hikes through nearby national parks.
“We built Lande to honour the essence of Margaret River – its rugged beauty, its rich heritage, and its power to inspire,” says Wilcox.
“Having been lucky enough to visit some of the world’s best sustainable resorts, I’ve drawn on those experiences to create something truly special. Lande combines the best of those learnings with my deep love for this region.”
Lande is set to officially launch in April 2025.
Meanwhile, Slojourn Studio has continued to expand in 2024, now representing Zannier Hotels, Seez Travel, and Bhutan’s Jigme Expeditions.
