Ponant is rebranding to Ponant Explorations Group following its recent acquisition of a majority stake in Aqua Expeditions.
The group now includes three commercial brands: Ponant Explorations, Paul Gaugin Cruises and Aqua Expeditions.
Ponant CEO Hervé Gastinel says the rebrand “reinforces its ambition to accelerate its development while strengthening its position in a dynamic and evolving market”.

Ponant Explorations is focused on expedition cruising; Paul Gaugin explores Tahiti, French Polynesia and the South Pacific, while Aqua Expeditions specialises in luxury small-ship expeditions to the world’s most biodiverse and culturally significant regions.
