Cruiseabout is making more waves in Queensland, opening its third store in the state at Westfield North Lakes.
The new outlet brings the cruise retailer’s total number of stores to six nationwide, with Queensland now home to half of them.
Cruiseabout General Manager Brad Kennedy said one in three Cruiseabout customers come from the Sunshine State, reflecting Queenslanders’ strong appetite for cruising.

“Queensland has been a strong market for the brand since day one, amplified by the launch of our Carindale and Mermaid Waters stores which were strategically placed in areas where we knew there was a high volume of travellers that love to cruise,” he remarked.
“These two stores are consistently high performers in the business. Most recently our Carindale store opened in December and broke brand records in its first two months of trading.
“The Westfield centre is a go-to hub for residents in the Moreton Bay Region, so equally we see our new store in North Lakes being a key growth driver for the business.”

Leading the new store is Kate Moulton, a well-known face in the local travel scene with over a decade at Flight Centre North Lakes. She’s excited to bring her experience to the new role.
“North Lakes is an amazing community, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to combine my passion for cruising and love for the area by leading this brand-new business,” she stated.
“Cruising is my favourite way to travel and I’m so excited to match my customers with the cruise holiday of their dreams, whether it be on the Duoro River, down to Antarctica or, my favourite, up to Alaska.
“Our team has more than 50 years of combined experience in the industry, so I’d encourage both avid and new cruisers to come in and meet the team.”

In March, the Flight Centre Travel Group brand welcomed its first NSW storefront, with Cruiseabout Narellan opening in Sydney’s southwest.
The Cruiseabout brand was relaunched in August 2023 after a five-year hiatus. For more info, visit cruiseabout.com.au.
