Okinawa win: Linkd Tourism expands Japan representation in Australia with Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau

Linkd Tourism has added Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB) to its growing destination portfolio with the travel PR and marketing firm to provide trade, media and consumer relations for Japan’s southernmost prefecture in Australia.

Linkd Tourism has added Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau (OCVB) to its growing destination portfolio with the travel PR and marketing firm to provide trade, media and consumer relations for Japan’s southernmost prefecture in Australia.

The team will draw on its local expertise with Account Manager Sally Miles leading the B2B focus in the Australian market.

She will leverage her Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) experience and language prowess under the direction of Trade Director Millie Browne with consumer and media activity delivered by PR Manager Christina Koullas.

Browne said: “OCVB appreciated our fresh approach and creativity when responding to the RFP as well as our track record of achieving what others would call ambitious targets,” she said.

“And with Sally’s eight years of experience with JNTO, her Japanese language fluency and Okinawan heritage, she brings additional expertise.

“Our appointment further strengthens our outbound work to Japan, including another recent win to continue our management of the JNTO expo events in August 2025 and February 2026.”

OCVB Manager Atsumi Ito said: “Leveraging Linkd Tourism’s knowledge and experience gained through collaboration with JNTO, we are excited to work together to share the charm of Okinawa with the Australian trade and media.”
