Linkd Tourism has expanded its trade team, with the appointment of Sally Miles as Account Manager, strengthening its representation of US and Japanese destinations.
Miles brings extensive experience to the role, having spent eight years with Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) and, most recently, working in partnerships with Karryon.
Linkd Tourism Managing Director Kylee Kay said Miles’ expertise makes her the perfect fit for handling key accounts, including the Arizona Office of Tourism, Kyushu Tourism Organization, JNTO projects and Aqua Aston Hospitality.

“Having lived in both the US and Japan and with her travel industry experience, Sally is ideally placed to work with Linkd Tourism’s partners,” Kay said.
“Sally’s career path has seen her develop strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators and MICE planners in Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, her warm approach, creativity and efficiency make her a great fit for our company culture.”

Miles said she was excited to return to destination marketing with Linkd’s industry partners.
“It has always been a pleasure working with Linkd during my time at both JNTO and Karryon and I look forward to driving visitation to the incredible destinations I’ll be representing.

“After spending 4 years living in Japan in addition to my time with JNTO, I’m pleased to be working with the country again and getting to know Kyushu in more depth as an up-and-coming region.
“I’m also delighted to be promoting my home country through working with the Arizona Office of Tourism and the incredible properties of Aqua-Aston Hospitality in Hawaii.”
PR push
Meanwhile, Linkd has boosted its public relations division, with the addition of Christina Koullas as PR Manager.
“We have a diverse team with decades of tourism experience and Christina brings her knowledge and strong media relationships to Linkd after 20+ years in the travel industry,” MD Kylee Kay said.

Koullas plied her trade most recently at Hurtigruten Group and has also represented brands like Holiday Inn, Melbourne Convention Bureau and World Travel Protection.
“Linkd has long-standing relationships with its clients, demonstrating the consistent results the team achieves for destinations and brands,” Christina said.
Melbourne-based Koullas will work with Linkd’s sales, marketing, and PR teams, reporting to PR Director Polly Simmons after her maternity leave.
