Independent travel buying network CT Partners has added Sanford Travel, enabling the family-owned travel management company (TMC) to accelerate growth through the group’s peer collaboration and transparent, member-owned model.

The addition of Sanford Travel brings CT Partners’ membership base to 33 so far in 2025.

Founded in 1987 as Sanford International Travel by Linda Brettell and John Jowett, the Sydney-based agency is now an established player in corporate travel, around 70 per cent of its business.

“CT Partners is the right fit for our business and will allow us to surround ourselves with like-minded, high-performing agencies who genuinely understand the value of collaboration. The transparency and financial model are incredibly compelling; there’s nothing else like it in the market,” Byrt said.

“For us, in addition to the compelling commercial advantages CT Partners provide, it’s about shared values. We’re focused on growing our presence in events and leisure over the next two years and CT Partners offers the ideal environment to support that growth while staying true to who we are.”

Now in its 21st year and established as Australia’s third-largest travel buying group, CT Partners has a leading position in premium travel with more than 60 per cent of air bookings in premium cabins.

The independently owned travel buying network reported a Total Transaction Value (TTV) exceeding $2 billion in FY24, including $1 billion in preferred airline production. Members also received record overrides of $26 million, marking a 48 per cent year-on-year increase.
