Zenith Payments, the Australian parent company of payment facilitator TravelPay, has appointed experienced travel fintech exec James Swan as Chief Financial Officer.
Swan brings deep payments experience to travel trade-facing brand TravelPay and the wider company.
He steps into the role as Zenith Payments scales across its wider portfolio, which spans TravelPay and TravelPay B2B alongside ZenPay, School EasyPay and B2Bpay.
Swan will lead the Zenith Payments finance function and join the executive team steering the group’s next phase of growth, including TravelPay’s continued expansion among travel businesses and suppliers. Swan is tasked with the financial and strategic leadership to support that growth.

He joins from Mint Payments, where he was Chief Strategy & Financial Officer. Over his career, Swan has worked closely with travel advisors and service providers, giving him a grounding in the operational and financial challenges travel businesses face.
For the travel trade, the appointment sits behind the scenes of the TravelPay payment platform that many advisors and suppliers already use.

Zenith Payments CEO Kevin Butler said: “James joins at an important point for us, as we scale across the portfolio and TravelPay’s growth accelerates.”
“He’ll bring the financial and strategic leadership to support that and I’m confident he’ll be a strong addition to the executive team.”
Of his new role, Swan said: “Zenith Payments has built solutions with real momentum, particularly with TravelPay’s position in the travel sector but also across education, real estate and other verticals. I’m excited to join the team and help shape the next stage of growth.”
KARRYON UNPACKS: The new appointment sees Swan on the finance side rather than the trade-facing desk, but his arrival signals Zenith Payments is doubling down on TravelPay’s growth in the travel sector, the payment tool many advisors and suppliers already rely on.
