Travel industry professional Kate Cameron has been appointed Head of Spencer Affiliates at Spencer Travel Holdings.
“I am thrilled for Kate to be starting with Spencer Travel Holdings as Head of Spencer Affiliates. We will grow this area of the business together,” Spencer Travel Founder and Managing Director Penny Spencer told Karryon on Monday.
“Having known Kate for a long time, I know she is the right fit for the role.”
Cameron joins the Sydney-based travel management company after a second, year-long stint at Helloworld Travel Limited, where she rejoined as Head of Agency Partnerships before moving into the role of General Manager of Helloworld Business Travel.
Last week, it was announced that Spencer Travel’s corporate division had been sold to Lodgelink, a move that reflects a major shift in focus for the company to the leisure market.
Under the revamped structure, the Spencer Group of Companies will continue to focus on corporate travel, while Spencer Travel Holdings will hone in on leisure, wellness and its expanding independent contractor network – an area Cameron will now oversee and aim to grow strategically.
