Flight Centre Brand (FCB) has named company stalwart Askin Erkec as its new Nation Leader – Flight Centre Collections, as the brand shifts gears to scale its specialist portfolio.
The Collections model includes youth luxury, complex air and business travel, and Erkec will now steer its next growth phase.
He brings more than two decades of experience across both corporate and leisure brands within Flight Centre Travel Group.
FCB Australia GM Brent Novak said the move supports long-term growth by giving Flighties a clear path to build on their specialist skills and thrive.

“Askin’s unique blend of corporate and leisure expertise, combined with his deep understanding of our culture and values, makes him the ideal leader to take the Flight Centre Collections into its next chapter,” he stated.
“His passion for people and business is unmatched, and I’m excited to see the impact he’ll make, both to the growth of our portfolio, as well as our people and their opportunities for a brightness of future within our iconic Flight Centre brand.”

Starting out with Student Flights in 2002, Erkec held key roles at Corporate Traveller before most recently leading operations at Travel Associates.
He takes the reins from Marieke Tucker, Global General Manager – Collections Portfolio, who will exit FCB mid-August after 20 years with FCTG.
Last month, FCTG’s Flight Centre Collections welcomed award-winning Senior Consultant James Rakus as a recruit, with the two-time ‘Global Leisure Consultant of the Year’ joining the specialist pillar in the luxury travel space.
