After its debut last year, Delta Air Lines will resume its nonstop seasonal Los Angeles–Brisbane route from 31 October 2025 to 27 March 2026, linking Southern California and South-East Queensland directly with the first LAX-bound flight departing on 2 November.
Delta will operate the thrice-weekly direct BNE–LAX flight on its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft now with an expanded Delta One cabin to provide an additional eight lie-flat suites.
The newly configured long-haul jets entered service during the 2024 Northern Hemisphere summer and will fly to and from Australia and New Zealand from October 2025.

The airline’s updated A350 cabins now feature 40 Delta One Suites (up from 32), 40 Delta Premium Select (down from 48), 36 Delta Comfort+ extra legroom seats (no change) and 159 Delta Main seats (down from 190).
DL has also expanded its partnership with Italian fashion house Missoni in a new Delta One collection, introduced on all flights by the end of 2025.

Passengers can expect a new bedding set consisting of a Missoni duvet, white sleeping pillow, a mattress pad that doubles as a lumbar pillow and an additional memory foam cuddle pillow.
Meanwhile, a refreshed Missoni amenity kit, due on board from September 2025, will include socks, eye mask, pen, Grown Alchemist skincare, bamboo toothbrush, Marvis toothpaste and earplugs.

Last year’s inaugural BNE–LAX seasonal flights marked the first time Delta had flown to Queensland and the airline’s second Australian destination after Sydney.
Significantly, the route also linked the two upcoming Olympic host cities with LA hosting the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Brisbane hosting the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It also increased capacity between LAX and BNE by 56 per cent, increasing the number of tourists flowing into Queensland.
