The ultra-luxury Scenic Eclipse II Discovery Yacht made her inaugural visit to Fremantle on 3 September 2025 after a successful 2024-25 season cruising in the Kimberley and Western Australia.
The milestone also marks the last chance for Australian cruisers to experience Scenic Eclipse II close to home with only a select few voyages in the South Pacific, New Zealand and Antarctica remaining.
Voyages still available are the South Pacific Discovery: Norfolk, New Caledonia & Fiji, Treasures of the Pacific: The Yasawas to New Zealand and Antarctica’s Ross Sea: Majestic Ice & Wildlife itineraries.
Scenic Eclipse II arrived in the Oceania region in April 2024, sailing the South Pacific, Australia’s East Coast to the Kimberley, South-East Asia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, East Antarctica and the Ross Sea.
In early 2026, the Discovery Yacht will return to the South Pacific and onwards to French Polynesia, Caribbean, Europe and the Mediterranean before ending the year in Antarctica.
With its state-of-the-art design and world-class experiences, Scenic Eclipse II has set a new benchmark in ultra-luxury cruising in the region, catering to only 228 guests across 114 luxurious suites, all with private verandahs and butler service.
There are 10 all-inclusive culinary experiences on offer as well as eight bars and lounges. Scenic Eclipse II also has the most expansive wellness offering at sea, including a 550sqm spa sanctuary.
Scenic’s second Discovery Yacht also offers immersive discovery excursions and unique experiences as the only ship with two onboard Airbus H130-T2 helicopters and the Scenic Neptune II submersible for panoramic views underwater. Curating all these experiences is Scenic’s Discovery Team, comprised of experts from geologists to naturalists.
