A “significant investment” into Walk into Luxury by APT co-owner Lou Tandy and her husband Rob through their private company, Travel Maven Investments, will see the company expand.
The partnership “represents a shared stakeholding between the Tandys and Walk into Luxury founder Nikki King, built on a foundation of shared values and vision, as well as a shared optimism for the future of the business,” says King.
She says in addition to expanding the team, the investment will “accelerate Walk into Luxury’s destination development, with Bhutan and the Himalayas, Peru, the Galapagos, Sri Lanka and the Dolomites all set to launch in the coming year”.

King says the partnership will “support the company’s continued growth as demand surges for luxury walking journeys that blend nature and world-class hospitality in spectacular wilderness settings”.
“Rob and Lou Tandy, highly regarded leaders in Australia’s luxury travel sector, will join the board this month, bringing decades of experience in ultra-luxury product design, business growth and global tourism leadership.
“Their decision to invest reflects the strength of Walk into Luxury’s vision and the fast-growing demand for transformational, nature-based travel.”
“From the beginning, our goal has been to engage people with nature, creating bespoke, immersive journeys that allow travellers to disconnect in pristine wilderness.
“Rob and Lou understand this completely. Their deep experience in luxury travel and their personal passion for creating extraordinary journeys make them the perfect partners for our next chapter.”

Tandy says luxury travellers are increasingly seeking journeys that enhance their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
“Walk into Luxury is at the forefront of this shift, creating private journeys that connect people with nature and spectacular scenery while offering the highest level of comfort and service.
“We are delighted to partner with Nikki and her team to help take this vision to the world.”
