Go grand for discerning cruise clients looking for an in-depth destination immersion

Do you have clients who want to explore destinations in depth without having to go on a world cruise? Grand Voyages are your ticket.

Do you have clients who want to explore destinations in depth without having to go on a world cruise? Grand Voyages are your ticket.

Although there is some overlap with one-way repositioning cruises, Grand Voyages usually have a regional or themed focus – for example, a voyage that takes in several destinations in the Arctic, the Mediterranean, Asia, the Americas and Australasia. They vary in length from about 35 to 80 days or more and are particularly popular among seasoned luxury cruisers.

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, says, “It’s evident that luxury travellers are placing more value on their time than ever before, seeking out exhilarating and bucket list destinations on long, lingering voyages that discover contrasting cultures, compelling histories, and tantalising cuisines”.

Azamara

Azamara is offering 11 Grand Voyages in 2026 and 16 in 2027, spanning 35 to 114 nights, on all four of its 700-guest ships – Azamara Journey, Onward, Pursuit and Quest.

Azamara Quest kicks off 2026’s Grand Voyage schedule with a 79-night Circle South America itinerary, round-trip from Miami departing 6 January 2026.

The ship will visit 42 ports in 24 countries with overnight stays in seven ports, heading as far south as the Falkland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula.

Other notable highlights in Azamara’s large selection of Grand Voyages include three Mediterranean cruises in the northern spring and one in autumn 2026, and a 38-night cruise from Tokyo to Vancouver departing 24 April 2026 that visits 11 ports in Japan, eight in Alaska and two in Canada.

The longest itinerary, Azamara Pursuit’s 114-night Grand Voyage, travels from Canada to New Zealand, departing Vancouver on 27 August 2026.

Fares include 24-hour room service, all soft and alcoholic drinks, AzAmazing Evenings, self-service laundry and onboard gratuities.

Crystal

Crystal’s two ultra-luxe ships, the 740-guest Crystal Serenity and 606-guest Crystal Symphony, are sailing three Grand Journeys (the same as Grand Voyages) in 2026 and two in 2027.

Its exceptional itineraries cover Asia, Africa and the Indian Ocean, the Baltics and Northern Europe, and South America.

In 2026, Crystal Serenity’s 89-night Asia itinerary departs Los Angeles on 11 January and arrives in Singapore on 11 April; Crystal Symphony’s Africa and Indian Ocean voyage departs Mombasa, Kenya on 6 February and arrives in Tokyo on 5 April.

Crystal Serenity’s 48-night Lisbon round-trip takes in 12 countries in Northern Europe between 27 June and 14 August.

The much-heralded solar eclipse on 12 August takes place as Crystal Serenity sails from Spain to Portugal – the best place to view this natural phenomenon is at sea.

In 2027, Crystal Symphony will sail a 54-night Grand Journey from Lisbon to Reykjavik, departing on 28 June, and Crystal Serenity departs New York on 12 October for her 71-night voyage around South America to Fort Lauderdale.

Fares for Crystal’s Grand Journeys include airfare credits for the first two guests, 20 per cent discount on select A&K curated excursions, private transfers, $1,500 ‘As You Wish’ credit per guest, complimentary laundry service, plus alcoholic and soft drinks, gratuities, and 24-hour butler service for all suites.

Oceania Cruises

Oceania’s expanding fleet, now numbering eight ships with the addition of the elegant Oceania Allura this year, is offering more than 30 Grand Voyages in 2026 and 2027.

The choice of destinations and voyage duration is incredible, and demand is strong; for example, several categories of suites and staterooms are waitlist only for Oceania Riviera’s 35-day Mesmerising Melanesia voyage, a Sydney round-trip departing 8 February 2026.

One of the longest Grand Voyages on offer is Oceania Vista’s 129-day Kangaroo Route, which is already attracting a lot of interest.

The 1,200-guest Oceania Vista is the near-identical sister to Oceania Allura, and her Kangaroo Route voyage will visit more than 80 ports across 34 countries and four continents between Sydney and Southampton, departing 26 February 2027.

Fares for Oceania’s Grand Voyages include dining in specialty restaurants, soft drinks and specialty tea and coffee, unlimited Starlink Wi-Fi, onboard gratuities, group fitness classes and self-service laundry.

Fares for Regent’s Grand Voyages include shore excursions, exquisite cuisine, drinks including fine wines and spirits, Wi-Fi, valet laundry, gratuities, a one-night, pre-cruise hotel package for guests staying in Concierge-level suites and higher, and more.

Silversea

Although it might be a little late to join Silver Nova’s 47-day Australian circumnavigation (a round-trip departing Melbourne on 14 October 2025), Silversea has three superb Grand Voyages coming up in 2026 and 2027.

Silver Cloud will embark on her 77-day Grand South Pacific Expedition from Fremantle to Valparaiso on 20 August 2026.

This is island-hopping taken to another level; the cruise starts with visits to Western Australia’s Abrolhos Islands and the Kimberley and continues to explore the culture and wildlife of 11 South Pacific countries.

Silver Spirit’s 50-day Grand Mediterranean voyage starts in Lisbon on September 18 2026 and ends in Athens on 7 November 2026. Milder weather and fewer crowds allow ideal conditions for exploring classic cities such as Istanbul, Dubrovnik, Casablanca, and Barcelona, as well as less-visited villages and towns.

Silver Nova will embark on her Grand South America voyage in January 2027. The 76-day Miami round-trip calls at 35 ports in 16 diverse countries; highlights include Caribbean islands, cruising the Amazon, visiting Rio de Janeiro during Carnival and transiting the Panama Canal.

Fares include butler service, premium alcoholic beverages, one complimentary shore excursion a day, onboard S.A.L.T. experiences, laundry service, Wi-Fi, gratuities and more.
