Taking place in Amman, Jordan on 27 September 2025 for World Tourism Day, more than 700 travel industry members will attend 2025 GX Jordan to hear from these inspiring changemakers about the positive impact of travel.
Featured speakers include National Geographic Explorer and archaeologist Nora Shawki, sustainable tourism leader Judy Kepher Gona, The Travel Show presenter and BBC Travel writer Carmen Roberts, National Geographic Expeditions and Adventures by Disney Senior Vice President & General Manager Nancy Schumacher and filmmaker Joel Primus.

G Adventures Founder Bruce Poon Tip will share a pre-recorded fireside chat with world-renowned conservationist Dr Jane Goodall, while Lonely Planet Co-Founder Tony Wheeler also returns to the stage again this year as part of the speaker lineup.
In addition, two panel discussions will welcome female leaders, who are driving change and greater equality across Jordan and four young people, who will share personal stories around how community tourism has positively impacted their lives.

The 2025 GX Jordan event will conclude with a white-themed party, a nod to Amman’s iconic limestone buildings that earned it the moniker, ‘The White City’, with legendary pop group The Jacksons providing the evening’s entertainment.
G Adventures will also announce the tour company’s latest updates and innovations at 2025 GX Jordan in partnership with its non-profit, Planeterra.

“The GX Summit has always been a platform to bring together the best minds in travel to discuss how we can build a better world,” Poon Tip said.
“I’m so excited to bring this incredible group of thought leaders to Jordan, a country that is filled with opportunities for community tourism and blends ancient history with human connection.
“Building on the phenomenal success of our Peru and India GX summits, GX Jordan is going to be bigger, better and more impactful than ever.”
