Minor Hotels has partnered with Sunrise Resorts & Cruises in a new joint venture that will see the pair open and manage 50 hotels in Egypt over the next decade.
The partnership will also see Minor’s flagship luxury brand Anantara enter the Egyptian market.
The developments will be in both urban and leisure destinations, including West Cairo, Azha Ras El Hekma on the North Coast and Azha Ain Al Sokhna.
Nile river cruises will also be part of the deal, “building on the success of the hotel group’s portfolio of Asia-based river cruises, including Mekong Kingdom and Loy Pela, reinforcing Egypt’s appeal as one of the world’s most iconic travel destinations”.
