Qantas drops big international sale with 300K seats to 27 destinations from $299 one-way

Qantas is helping agents get client bums on seats with its latest International Red Tail Sale, offering discounted airfares to 27 popular network destinations for seven days only. Prices start from AUD$299 one-way and they’re on sale until 5 November 2025.

Qantas is helping agents get client bums on seats with its latest International Red Tail Sale, offering discounted airfares to 27 popular network destinations for seven days only. Prices start from AUD$299 one-way and they’re on sale until 5 November 2025.

The Qantas International Red Tail Sale features discounted airfares for travel on select dates between November 2025 and September 2026.

The week-long Qantas International Red Tail Sale includes destinations across Asia, America, Europe and the Pacific, with Economy fares starting from $299 one-way from Brisbane to Christchurch.

Qantas has also announced it will increase capacity to New Zealand by 18 per cent in April 2026 compared to April 2025. 

The almost 40 additional return flights are Sydney and Melbourne to Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown in response to demand and a further increase to the summer travel seasonal boost.

It comes as international travel continues to grow with ABS data showing almost one million Aussies travelled overseas in August 2025, up six per cent year-on-year.

Indonesia remains the most-visited destination for Australians, and Qantas has Economy return fares from Melbourne–Bali from $559, Sydney–Bali from $579 and Adelaide–Bali (via SYD or MEL) from $659.

The sale also features popular destinations such as Japan, LA and Santiago, including Sydney–LA Economy return from $999 and Sydney–Santiago Economy return from $1,599, taking advantage of visa-free stays up to 90 days in Chile. Business Class seats are also available.

Frequent Flyers can also use their Qantas Points to book millions of discounted Classic Plus reward seats as part of the sale.

Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said: “Demand for international travel is stronger than ever with more than seven million overseas trips taken by Qantas customers last financial year.”

“We’ve had a huge year of growth with new international routes and capacity increases across the network and this sale gives customers even more choice and great value across our growing network.”
