Guess who’s launched 3x weekly flights from Melbourne to Hong Kong?

If yummy dim sum, East-meets-West culture, and one of the world’s most famous harbour views are on your radar, you’ll be stoked to know there is a new thrice-weekly Melbourne to Hong Kong direct flight launching this December. For the first time, Hong Kong Airlines will connect Victorians to the vibrancy of the Pearl of the Orient and beyond.

Hong Kong Airlines is a full-service airline set to rev up the competition with a three-times-weekly schedule – Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – taking off 13 December 2025.

With only three hours’ time difference, the new flights offer an epic way to enjoy a mini break to Hong Kong without jet lag or take advantage of the airline’s growing global network where you can transit to over 30 global cities.

Flights (HX014) leave Melbourne Airport at 1 pm, landing at Hong Kong International Airport at 7:25 pm. That leaves time to grab a delish local dish or enjoy the vibrancy of Victoria Harbour by night.

The return leg (HX013) leaves Hong Kong at 11pm. With the airline’s in-town check-in service, dropping off your luggage at Hong Kong or Kowloon Station, you have a whole extra day to explore the city!

Yay. Time for one last cha chaan teng (a traditional diner serving East-meets-West food) or more cultural sights!
