Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, near the Puerto Portals, will open in late 2026 with 131 rooms and suites, six restaurants and access to two secluded coves.

Designed to reflect its Mediterranean locale, inside are natural materials with artwork by local creatives both inside and in the gardens.

There are two outdoor pools and a children’s pool, all with ocean views, hydro-massage pool, steam rooms, cold plunges and aromatherapy showers, and nine treatment ‘cabins’ offer treatments incorporating local herbs and use traditional healing practices.

The hotel will have six restaurants from Nobu-style cuisine and a Spanish steakhouse to traditional tapas.

Executive Chef Sergio De La Plata says it will prioritise quality and locally sourced ingredients.

“Each dish tells a story – of the product, the producer, its origin and the surrounding landscape.

“Inspired by the sea, the land and the simplicity of authentic flavours, we cook with respect and soul to delight and fully satisfy our guests.”

General Manager Duarte Correia says the entire ethos of the property is to draw deeply from the island’s spirit.

“Every corner of the resort pays tribute to its heritage: the tranquillity of the Mediterranean, the strength of its landscapes, its artisan traditions and the warmth of its people.

“Here, natural beauty meets contemporary, understated luxury, creating experiences that celebrate the true art of Mallorcan living.”
