Helloworld Travel Mentone has opened its doors, marking two milestones at once. A new storefront in Melbourne’s bayside, and 25 years in business for an agency that has grown alongside the people it serves.
.
Formerly based in Parkdale, the agency has relocated a few kilometres down the road, settling into Mentone’s main shopping strip.

A silver jubilee opening
For owner Selena Luscombe, who has been in the industry herself over 40 years, the move comes at the perfect time.
“A new store is a fitting way to celebrate 25 years,” Luscombe said.

“While we are sad to have moved from our original location in Parkdale, Mentone is a vibrant community, and this location gives us the opportunity to serve our customers even better. I’m as passionate as ever about helping people plan unforgettable journeys.”
Why visibility still matters
The Mentone store sits close to a prominent corner, with street presence and walk-in visibility that reflects a deliberate choice to stay accessible. It is a physical recommitment to being available in person at a time when many travel decisions are made online (but often resolved offline).

Helloworld Travel’s Group General Manager Retail Networks, Nick Sutherland, acknowledged the milestone.
“Congratulations to Selena and the entire team on this exciting relocation and on reaching 25 years in business,” he said.
“This milestone is a testament to their commitment to exceptional customer service and their ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic industry.”
KARRYON UNPACKS: Being visible now takes a conscious choice. As travel systems add layers, some agencies are choosing presence over distance.
