Delta Air Lines has appointed aviation industry veteran Sarah Aston as National Account Manager, Corporate & TMC, Australia, signalling a stronger push into corporate travel and agency partnerships across the local market.
The newly created role is designed to strengthen the carrier’s engagement with corporate clients, travel management companies (TMCs) and small-to-medium enterprise (SME) partners across the Australian market as the airline expands services to and from Australia.
Effective immediately, Aston will focus on expanding the carrier’s presence within the corporate travel sector while deepening relationships with TMC partners and key business travel stakeholders.
The airline said the appointment reflects its continued focus on the Australian market and the importance of the corporate and agency distribution channels in the competitive trans-Pacific landscape.

Aston brings more than 20 years’ aviation industry experience to the role from a career spanning sales, account management and corporate partnership development.
She spent 11 years with Virgin Australia in a range of commercial and sales roles, most recently as Business Development Manager for the large market segment.
In that role, Aston oversaw tender processes, negotiated preferred supplier agreements and managed relationships with a broad portfolio of TMCs and major corporate clients.

Prior to Virgin Australia, she spent 12 years with Qantas across airline sales and account management.
Delta Air Lines said Aston’s background across two major Australian carriers provides strong insight into the local corporate travel ecosystem and the evolving needs of TMC partners.
Aston is also well acquainted with the US carrier, working closely with the airline during the Delta–Virgin Australia joint venture period and bringing her insights into the partnership and the broader trans-Pacific market to her new role.
