Explora Journeys says Explora II will operate from November 2026 to March 2027 in the Mediterranean, cancelling its plans to enter the Middle East.
Explora says the decision has been taken well in advance, “following careful consideration and reflecting Explora Journeys’ commitment to providing guests and travel advisors with clarity and confidence as they plan their future Journeys”.
Explora II is instead focusing on the Western Mediterranean, North Africa, Funchal, Casablanca and Ibiza’s Old Town.

Explora says these itinerary adjustments “enhance the Northern Hemisphere Winter 2026/2027 season with captivating new destinations designed to immerse guests in the cultural and coastal treasures of each region”.
It says all guests with reservations, along with travel advisor partners, will be contacted directly, with dedicated support provided and appropriate options offered where applicable.
Further details of the new itineraries will be announced shortly.

Explora Journeys recently revealed a first look at Explora III, which will launch with a Mediterranean journey on 24th July before her naming ceremony on 1 August 2026 in Barcelona.
The ship was designed to have the feeling of a private yacht, and has a double-height atrium of marble and cascading chandeliers, nine dining options and three outdoor heated swimming pools.
